Weekend Scrappy and Chatting

On the weekend I had some scrappy pals over for a crop day.  I set myself the challenge to work on techniques and use mostly things in my stash.  Well given we scrapped for quite a few hours I don't have much to show but I had a great time!

Princess for a Day
My only new item was the American Crafts Dark Kraft for the back ground.  I stamped in black behind the photo, a rosette in Collections Printed Tissue Paper plus a cluster of chipboard, transparency and metal charms to finish.

Gentle Soul
This layout I have spritzed with Raven Glimmer Mist after I have heat embossed a stamped image in clear. I have adhered some printed tissue paper from Collections to some chipboard with Gel Medium to create the background.  Some Prima Printery Roses & Vine, a transparency in the corner with some charms plus a Melissa Frances frame around my photo.  TFL!

Fancy Pants & Kaisercraft

Hi there, seem to have found some motivation lately to complete a couple of projects.

The first is a canvas I have made for my Mum using Kaisercraft's Sweet Nothings.

The next projects are using Fancy Pants Off To School (feeling in the Back To School mood!).  I have used the papers, chipboard and die cuts.  I have also used a couple of new tools - Sew Ribbon (for threading ribbons on your projects in different designs) and a Fiskars Squeeze Punch by Jenni Bowlin for punching out banner shapes.

TFL!

'Scuse The Cobwebs . . .

My best laid plans to do some scrapping over the Christmas/New Year break were pure fantasy!  Hope you had a wonderful Christmas break and a happy start to 2012!

I have managed to squeeze in some scrappy time in the past few days which is the 1st time in a month!

The 1st layout is for our Sketch Competition over at HBS.  The sketch was created by Michelle Fowler.
I have used Webster's All About Me papers and embellies, plus I have done some stitching using my Burst Sew Easy head and the gem flourish is one from Zva.
I spotted a sketch by Wendy Smith earlier in the month and I was really inspired by it so I have based the below on her sketch - thanks for the inspiration Wendy!  I have used Kaiser Sweet Nothings papers from the paper pad and a special treat of lots of Prima blooms and the Shabby Chic Resin Bridge.  The pic is of one of my 'other' children - Bonnie - our littlest Jack Russell.  She loves to play amongst the plants in the garden and on this day she was pouncing around my petunias so I snapped the moment.  The journaling tag is a Pink Paislee Mistable which I have had the packet for ages & didn't really know 'how' to use them.  So I have spritzed with some Olive Glimmer Mist then a rub on on top!
Well off to the beach tonight with the kids for some fish & chips since it is so hot today.  May need a spot of SSB to keep me cool!  Thanks for visiting and hope you are surviving the school holidays!
