Okay so the blog has been ignored.

But that doesn't mean I haven't been busy!!  The days just seem to pass by and I keep thinking I must do an update but the time just escapes me!  I have completed a few projects over the past few weeks which I have really enjoyed.  School holidays are here now and I am thinking that the creative pursuits will take a back seat as I occupy the little men and juggle HBS!  I wouldn't have it any way - being busy!  Anyway thanks for visiting and taking a peak at my latest creations which I have done for only 1 reason - the pleasure of creating with paper!  Sxx

Yours Truly for My One & Only

Can you believe it?  I am back again with another layout - this time using Echo Park Yours Truly.  These papers have again been tempting me for a while to create something.  These are definitely outside of my normal comfort zone of papers just because they are such striking colours/monochromatic.  But I think I am happy with the results.  The flowers are Prima Miss Kate and I think they just give the mono colours a bit of a lift.  Thanks for taking the time to visit and take a look at what I have been up to. :)

A week of scrapping!

It doesn't happen often but I got the chance to scrap and relax all week with a scrappy pal!  We went away and had a fabulous time - if only we were still away!

Anyway here is what I managed to create - TFL!

This is My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally - loved these papers the minute I saw them!
This is a new range from Kaiser yet to arrive called Tiger Lily - I saw this layout created by Steph Devlin so had to lift it - thanks for the inspiration Steph!
This is Graphic 45 An ABC Primer - perfect for school photos as the colours are really adaptable.
This is Prima Printery papers, alphas and metal treasures plus some Melissa Frances Resin.  I have painted the background in a cream colour then sprayed with Olive Glimmer Mist.  I have then stamped with one of the Kaiser Texture Stamps - Botanical - across the centre.  The blooms are all Kaiser.
This layout I saw on the Aussie Scrapsource blog by Georgia Keys.  I have been wanted to use the October Afternoon Boarding Pass papers for ages so when I saw Georgia's layout it was the perfect inspiration.
This is my effort for this month's sketch competition at Handmade By Suzanne using Echo Park A Boy's Life.  I have also used some Jillibean Corrugated Shapes and some Dusty Attic Mini Ants which are just adorable!
Another Graphic 45 An ABC Primer layout plus the ribbon border across the bottom using WRMK Sew Ribbon.

Weekend Scrappy and Chatting

On the weekend I had some scrappy pals over for a crop day.  I set myself the challenge to work on techniques and use mostly things in my stash.  Well given we scrapped for quite a few hours I don't have much to show but I had a great time!

Princess for a Day
My only new item was the American Crafts Dark Kraft for the back ground.  I stamped in black behind the photo, a rosette in Collections Printed Tissue Paper plus a cluster of chipboard, transparency and metal charms to finish.

Gentle Soul
This layout I have spritzed with Raven Glimmer Mist after I have heat embossed a stamped image in clear. I have adhered some printed tissue paper from Collections to some chipboard with Gel Medium to create the background.  Some Prima Printery Roses & Vine, a transparency in the corner with some charms plus a Melissa Frances frame around my photo.  TFL!

Fancy Pants & Kaisercraft

Hi there, seem to have found some motivation lately to complete a couple of projects.

The first is a canvas I have made for my Mum using Kaisercraft's Sweet Nothings.

The next projects are using Fancy Pants Off To School (feeling in the Back To School mood!).  I have used the papers, chipboard and die cuts.  I have also used a couple of new tools - Sew Ribbon (for threading ribbons on your projects in different designs) and a Fiskars Squeeze Punch by Jenni Bowlin for punching out banner shapes.

TFL!
